AnnotationAn increasing population of seniors provides pastoral caregivers the opportunity to affirm older people's value to family and society. This article begins by reviewing society's perspective of older people and the challenges they face. The study then presents the concept of creating rituals and personal narratives, along with biblical stories and the lives of biblical characters, to help seniors who need to find closure for losses and to find meaning in their lives, both past and future. The techniques are mainly targeted at Christian seniors, however they may also be adapted for older people of other faiths or none. (JL).
