Annotation | Since 2009 a new initiative in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has transformed the city's traditional approach to serving older adults. Called Age-friendly Philadelphia (AfP), the scheme is an integrated policy, planning and research effort focused on the wider social and physical environment in which older people live. The purpose of the present study was to introduce this new strategy and to explore ways in which it might be replicated in other urban contexts. (JL). |
