AnnotationThis publication summarises findings from research in respect of well-being for older people with visual impairment. It uses data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA), which covers those aged 50+ living in private households. It examines whether the self-reported measures of visual impairment in ELSA are accurate. It analyses the relationship between visual impairment and factors such as health, economic position, and housing circumstances to obtain information about the relationship between visual impairment and well-being. A Thomas Pocklington Trust occasional paper (same title) provides more information. (RH).
