AnnotationThe report focused on the experiences of older grandparents aged 65 and above who were raising their grandchildren, based on in depth interviews and a focus group with 18 grandparent carers. The aim of the study was to provide insight into the circumstances of older kinship carers, and the challenges they were experiencing _ particularly isolation, discrimination and poverty _ in order to bring forward recommendations for improving the support provided to them and the children they were raising.
