Annotation | Age UK respond to a consultation from the Government and the energy regulator Ofgem which sets out initial proposals on how smart metering will be delivered, including consideration of in house displays (IHDs), consumer protection and data privacy issues. Age UK's main concern is for those older people who are likely to be late adopters in the process; and to minimise the costs of the programme, much which will be borne by consumers. (RH). |
