AnnotationThis Age UK response includes an explanation of how tax legislation currently operates in relation to pension savings accumulated through a defined contribution pension scheme. The June 2010 Budget includes an intention to remove the age 75 annuity rule. Age UK has concerns about how the proposal will affect those with more modest wealth, for example the risk of being mis-sold complex and expensive alternative products. (RH).
