AnnotationMany of us are carers, or will have been at some point in our lives. For those who have not, there is every chance that we will one day play such a role. This book is based on interviews with 13 local families in Peterborough, and records their stories and experiences. The contributors are caring for a partner, a parent, a child or a friend, and are drawn from across the generations. Those they support have a wide range of disabilities, difficulties and diseases. The work of the Peterborough Carers Centre and the Peterborough Young Carers Project is also described. 'Lives interrupted: carers voices' was funded by the Vodafone Foundation as part of its World of Difference UK programme (2009). (RH).
