Annotation | The Department of Health (DH) has published 'The devil's in the detail: final report of the Independent Evaluation of the Summary Care Record and Health Space Programmes', an evaluation carried out at University College London (UCL) by a team led by Trisha Greenhalgh. This news item notes how the 234-page report identifies examples of "dissonances" between what policy makers and IT experts expected of the summary care record (SCR) (see: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/scriefullreport.pdf). At present, the SCR contains data on prescriptions and allergies; and even when available, the SCR was accessed in only around a fifth of encounters. (RH). |
