| Annotation | This Act amends section 15 of the Community Care (Delayed Discharges etc.) Act 2003 so as to remove the restriction on the period for which personal care may be provided free of charge to persons living at home; and to make consequential provision. The Act extends to England and Wales only, and shall come into force on a day appointed by the Secretary of State for Health, by order made by statutory instrument. A statutory instrument containing such an order may not be made, unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament. Explanatory Notes have been produced to assist in the understanding of this Act and are available separately. (RH). |
