Annotation | Personal budgets (PBs) are a key element of self-directed support and are central to the Government's policy to reform social care. The introduction to this report has examples of how three people are using their personal budgets (PBs). Part 1 of the report looks at the experiences of some of the leading local authorities adult services departments in developing how they operate self-directed support, and the implications for commissioning and providing services in specific localities. Part 2 is an evaluation of the impact of personal budgets (PBs) since 2005 and how take-up has been monitored. (RH). |
