AnnotationThis report shares the work of the 3-year action research project, Growing with Age, run by the National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (NAPA). The project was funded by the Big Lottery Fund, and focused on exploring possibilities for greater links between residents of care homes and the communities in which they live. Other aims were: to combat negative images of life in care homes and sheltered housing by encouraging positive exchanges between older residents and members of the local community; and to share and spread ideas for good practice.
