| Annotation | The Ageing Population Panel is a thematic panel set up under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Foresight programme, with the task of raising awareness of the issues surrounding the ageing population and the impact the demographic changes will have on markets and economic structures in the next 20 years. This document includes briefing packs used at the scenario development workshop, in which four societal elements were looked at: transport and built environment; medical care and support; income and expenditure; and activity structure. "Dependency" and "independence" views on ageing were considered. (RH). |
