Annotation	This introduces and outlines the New Dynamics of Ageing Programme, whose overall aim is to advance our understanding of the dynamics of ageing from a multidisciplinary perspective. Building on successful collaboration and previous initiatives on ageing, this Programme will involve major cross-Council research proposals from: Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC); Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC); Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC); Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC); and Medical Research Council (MRC). The Programme will run for seven years from 2005, and is organised into two main themes (ageing well across the lifecourse, and ageing and its environment) with eight sub-themes.
