AnnotationThis booklet is part of a campaign launched on January 11 to help protect homeowners who are most at risk from property fraud. Fraud is often targeted at properties where there is no mortgage or where the owner lives elsewhere. The groups most at risk from property fraud are those who do not live in a property they own, e.g. elderly people living in residential care, homeowners living abroad and buy-to-let landlords. One way to stop such fraudulent acts, is for homeowners to ensure that their contact details with Land Registry are up-to-date and information on how this can be done is contained in the booklet.
