AnnotationPromoting the mental health and well-being of older people is the title of two trainer manuals and two learner workbooks for Level 2 award and Level 3 certificate and introductory award in this area of work. These qualifications are designed to meet the requirements for the recently introduced Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The materials provide a complete teaching and learning programme in promoting the mental health and well-being of older people and have been developed in partnership with Age Concern and endorsed by City & Guilds. Grounded in current research and best practice, these resources are designed to challenge learners' attitudes to, and assumptions about, older people, which in turn it is hoped, will bring about change to frontline practice across the range of service settings. Further details about the resources can be obtained from the publishers. (KJ/RH).
