| Annotation | This paper updates and develops Age Concern England's policy on age equality. It addresses the urgent need to combat ageism, and to extend legislation tackling age discrimination. The forthcoming Equality Bill must be robust; and while the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations is a "landmark development", the government must abandon the national default retirement age.
