AnnotationThis is the leading article in the second bulletin put out by LiLL (Learning in Later Life), a European Union (EU) project. The aim of this second issue is to illustrate the importance of the new communication technologies for the field of scientific continuing education for older people, and to introduce the project European Network Learning in Later Life (LiLL). Unfortunately, because of the limited resources available not all articles are translated in the bulletins produced. ZAWiW (Zentrum für Allgemeine Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung, or Centre for General Scientific Continuing Education) in the University of Ulm was the coordinator of the network which began in 1995. (English and Italian.) (KJ/RH).
