AnnotationIn order to meet the pressures of meeting the demands of an ageing society, health and social care services will need to work more collaboratively than ever before. This Health Service Journal supplement has been sponsored by the NHS Information Centre to highlight the work being done to integrate health and social care information. It includes a contribution from the Care Quality Commission about its work to development to use information to underpin regulation. Other examples described are Tameside and Glossop PCT's work on reducing falls in older people; personalised care in Barnsley; and experiences of Torbay Care Trust in sharing data. Lastly, the NHS Information Centre draws attention to its online service to provide health managers with easy access to social care data. (RH)
