Annotation | As the European population ages, there will be inevitable increase in demand for social care services for older people. Policies aimed at the promotion of healthy and independent living clearly reduce the demand for care. These findings explore issues such as how the labour shortage in the care sector could be tackled, for example by providing childcare for women workers and integrating newcomer migrants into the workforce.
