Annotation | Four focus groups were held in connection with this study of a US shared site intergenerational program (SSIP), one with each participant group: older people; children; caregivers (including parents of children and older people's caregivers); and staff. Five major themes emerged from the groups: emotions; engagement challenges; family environment; relationships; and respect or admiration. Each theme is discussed and illustrated with quotes, and the implications of the findings are discussed. (RH). |
