| Annotation | With the declining birthrate, ageing of society, population decline and financial distress, the environment in Japan's rural areas is tough. The serious situation in rural areas shows a glimpse of urban areas in the future. Although there is potential for economic revitalisation, this potential is not being fully realised. What can be done to really energise rural areas? Based on practice and research from various perspectives, the authors consider some tactics. (RH). |
