People living in a couple relationship at mid-life had a reduced risk of cognitive impairment later in life. This is a summary of a paper that was published at bmj.com as BMJ 2009: 339:b2462, and is a study which is part of the cardiovascular risk factors ageing and dementia (CAIDE) project, a prospective cohort study in eastern Finland.
