Annotation | While public attention has been diverted by swine flu, the predicted heatwave this summer also poses a danger to life. This article refers back to the 2003 European heatwave, and looks at how primary care and hospital trusts have prepared this year. It also lists lessons learned in France from the 2003 heatwave, when around 15,000 people died as a result. (RH). |
