AnnotationThe All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dementia examined the readiness of the social care workforce to deliver personalised care to people with dementia and their families. The Group's report also discusses the barriers to workforce development at national, local and organisational levels, and offers solutions to delivering system-wide workforce changes in dementia skills. Among recommendations is for "an informed and effective workforce for people with dementia", as stated in Objective 13 of the National Dementia Strategy for England. The Alzheimer's Society assisted with organising the oral evidence sessions and with writing the report. (RH).
