AnnotationThe Discovering Faith in Later Life (DFiLL) series is a resource to motivate, challenge and encourage the wider church to take the spiritual needs of older people seriously. The series also engages in some theological reflection to assist leaders to think theologically about the work they are doing, and to think about how a mission-shaped church might respond to the ever increasing older population who no longer have experience of church, or indeed lack a basic understanding of the Christian faith. This report describes the work of the Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care (SCCCC), which is a local charity that co-ordinates a broad range of services largely provided by its city-wide team of volunteers, to meet the needs of the older population living in the Sheffield area.
