Annotation'Lifetime homes, lifetime neighbourhoods', the national strategy for housing in an ageing society (February 2008), is a cross-government strategy published jointly by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the Department of Health (DH), and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The nine sheets in this information pack summarise the strategy's key areas, starting with an overview of the strategy. Titles of the other eight are: Lifetime homes: housing design; Lifetime neighbourhoods; Housing, health and care; Specialist housing: extra care and sheltered housing; Disabled facilities grants; Home improvement agencies; Private sector improvement; and Housing advice and information. They indicate how the strategy can fit with the wider agenda across government for the provision of housing, care and support for older people; so the pack is specifically aimed at commissioners and providers.
