Annotation | 'Tomorrow's doctors' is a draft for consultation from the General Medical Council (GMC) on standards for undergraduate medical education. Age Concern England (ACE) and Help the Aged outline concerns around the quality of care received by older patients and on making clinical judgements on the basis of age, particularly in respect of mental health. Also sought is better training for conditions such as dementia and incontinence. Doctors should be trained so that they can work with patients as active participants. (RH). |
