Annotation | The post office network is said to be losing £4 million a week - a seemingly strong enough argument for change. This article explains the campaign by Age Concern England (ACE) against the planned closures, and argues that post offices play a much more vital role in people's lives than the public consultations have given credit for. An earlier version of this article was published in Working with Older People (vol 12, issue 2, June 2008). (RH). |
