AnnotationIn January 2009, Secretary of State for Health Alan Johnson announced that from 2010/11 hospital will not be paid for care delivered in mixed sex wards, unless there is an overriding clinical justification. Action is therefore needed now to segregate patients, and to deal with the related issues of privacy and dignity. (RH).
