AnnotationThe End of life care strategy announced the formation of a new national coalition to support implementation of the strategy. The National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC) is to lead this Public Awareness Coalition, which aims to promote awareness and support changing attitudes and behaviours towards death, dying and bereavement, and to make a "good death" the norm. This pamphlet outlines the purpose and structure of the coalition; lists possible indicators of success; and presents responses to NCPC's first public awareness survey in January 2009. It also invites interested organisations to sign up: an inaugural Forum will be held in May or June 2009. (RH).
