Annotation | In May 2008, the Government launched a debate on the future of care and support in England, on which a Green Paper is due to be published in 2009. As part of its contribution to the debate, Age Concern England (ACE) is launching a series of briefings, '21st century care' that chart the issues under discussion. Among aspects of the debate to be covered are: quality of care; scope of services; family contributions; fairness, clarity and access; personalisation and integration; state funding for care; personal funding for care; local and national solutions; and age equality. This series is aimed at experts and insiders. Service users, carers and families are directed to The Big Q, ACE's public consultation and campaign for quality care. (RH). |
