AnnotationDescribes and comments upon a range of social attitudes in the areas of social welfare, crime, politics, local government, Europe and elections, that are extrapolated from the surveys designed and carried out annually by the SCPR. From the 15th report, there was a slight change of title to: "British and European social attitudes". The 16th edition returned to the original title and is the first analyses and interpretations of the 1997 Labour elected government. Since the 15th edition the SCPR has changed to the National Centre for Social Research. There is now a web-site which was developed by the Centre for Comparative European Survey Data (CCESD) to provide non-specialist users with on-line access and analysis of a cumulative database of over 20,000 survey questions asked in British Social Attitudes surveys over the last 24 years.
