AnnotationThis CDROM contains videos and other resources that show the importance of independent advice for older people. It takes the form of a photo documentary highlighting three instances where the information and advice provided by Age Concern England (ACE) helped older people access benefits and services. Age Concern England launched the CDROM at the annual general meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Ageing and Older People on 8 October 2008, which was followed by a round table summit to mark Advice Week 2008. The accompanying notes summarise the AGM and round table summit presentations and discussion. The All Party Parliamentary Group proposes to cover a range of issues at its meetings in 2009: fuel poverty; social care; the Equality Bill; depression; digital inclusion; and the 2012 Olympics.
