AnnotationSpecific cognitive abilities were evaluated by a battery of neuropsychological tests in a sample of 93 twin pairs with normal cognitive function born between 1926 and 1940, identified through the Italian Twin Registry (ITR) in 2002 and living in Rome. Heritability estimates of cognitive abilities were moderate to high (range 54%-79%). Relevant environmental factors were those creating within family differences. (RH).
