AnnotationThis research bulletin is one of a series published by the Institute for Volunteering Research to explore and disseminate aspects of 'Helping Out: a national survey of volunteering and charitable giving' (2007), and conducted in partnership with the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) and the Office of the Third Sector, Cabinet Office. It indicates a relationship between the giving of time and money: most of the respondents to the Helping Out study are engaged in both volunteering and giving money to charities. (RH).
