| Annotation | Help and Care was formed in 1985 as a short term three month project with a small budget to research the needs of older people in the area of Bournemouth and Poole, Dorset, in which it was based. This report reviews the development of the organisation which has developed an holistic approach to the needs of older people, and has proven to be in the vanguard of a new emphasis of participation and inclusion in delivering a wide range of services, often expressed through the work of the Better Government for Older People Programme (BGOP).
