Annotation | Anna Darlington (wife of the author of this article) trained and worked as a nurse, social worker and psychotherapist in the National Health Service (NHS). This article relates how she developed Alzheimer's disease (AD) at the age of 54 and died at home seven years later. It incorporates comments on her care from the perspectives of the palliative care physician, the psychiatrist, the Admiral nurse, the occupational therapist, as well as those of Anna herself. (RH). |
