AnnotationA table produced annually (in an unpublished form) as one that was formerly included in the discontinued Mortality Statistics Series DH5. The table shows deaths by age, sex and selected underlying cause for health and local authority areas. This table uses the ICD-10 coding which is the tenth revision of the International Classification of Diseases to reflect current medical knowledge; it was fully implemented by May 2002. Following a temporary suspension of this table (with the 2002 edition) due to a National Statistics Protocol on Data Access and Confidentiality, it is now available online only from the ONS website.
