AnnotationThe authors describe how they sought the views of people with dementia attending a day centre run by Age Concern in north west England. Their aims were to: involve older adults and people with dementia in a service evaluation; examine levels of user satisfaction; establish which aspects of the service users were most or least satisfied with; and obtain suggestions for improvement. Their study dealt with some of the methodological issues involved with interviewing older people and those with dementia. The study demonstrates that it is possible for older service users to give their opinions on aspects of services that are important to them. (RH).
