Annotation | This article outlines reasons why it is vital that housing, health and adult social care work together with planners in the fast-moving agenda on older people's housing. Effective partnership working will provide significant benefits for older people, manifested in development of a range of innovative, well-planned and well-designed housing that is future-proofed and affordable, to enable older people to continue to live independently in the community for as long as possible. Examples from East Sussex and Eastbourne Borough Council illustrate the perspectives suggested. (KJ/RH). |
