| Annotation | The authors report on their action research study which looked at night time care practices in care homes. The first stage of their study used observation and interviews to identify areas of night-time practice that required improvement. Stage two involved action research (implementation and evaluation) to determine if and how night time care could be improved through a small number of interventions. Recommendations for regulatory bodies, home management and care homes are outlined. (RH). |
