Annotation | Why is it so hard to "walk the walk" of truly person-centred care, even in what seems a very good care environment? The author reports on the study she conducted in a Jewish care home and through the literature, exploring the aims of achieving person-centred care as espoused by Tom Kitwood in 1992. She concludes that challenges are needed beyond the care facility itself - in the whole organisation and the wider community too. (RH). |
