Keywords | Financial services [older people] ; Help the Aged. |
Annotation | Older people are not getting the financial services or advice they need. This policy statement updates information previously published in 2004, and comments on a range of issues on which Help the Aged wishes the financial services industry and/or the government to take action. These issues include: bank closures; "Chip and Pin"; insurance; bank accounts; equity release; financial advice; and debt problems. Good financial advice would help older people to better manage their limited resources and reduce the risk of financial abuse. (RH). |
