Annotation | Research in the psychology of religion and ageing is reviewed and organised into six categories. These categories reflect enduring questions posed both in philosophy and psychology about: the mind/body relationship; sources of knowledge; experiences of and judgements about beauty; reasons for individual behaviour; the need for and responses to social interaction; and the search for life meaning. In addition to reviewing current research, the paper suggests new research directions for the psychology of religion and ageing. Examples are given of potential collaborations between researchers and practitioners working in religious and secular settings. (RH). |
