Annotation | This is an annual report of the Commission, an independent body responsible for reviewing the quality of healthcare and public health in England, with a similar role in Wales. This annual series reports independently about the state of healthcare services in England and Wales. The 2008 report is the fifth and final one to be published by the Healthcare Commission. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) comes into existence in April 2009 and takes over the work of the Healthcare Commission (see website: http://www.cqc.org.uk/). Subsequent CQC report has the title 'The state of health care and adult social care in England'. (KJ/RH). |
