AnnotationTelevision and the media in general have raised the profile of entrepreneurs, whom we imagine to be young, energetic and creative people. Research indicates that the older you are when setting up a business, the greater its chances of success. The author of this article puts things in a global perspective, and draws attention to the challenge that budding "silver entrepreneurs" face, and what is being done in the north of England to remove those barriers.
