Annotation | While supporting the aims of the Discrimination Law Review Green Paper to review and not just consolidate current legislation, Carers UK has particular concerns that discrimination against carers has not been dealt with. Its response presents evidence of discrimination against carers, and puts the case for extending protection to carers in three main areas: the proposed new public sector equality duties; discrimination in employment; and discrimination in the provision of goods, facilities and services. A summary (4 pp) is also available. (RH). |
