AnnotationThe Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) has published a consultation on proposed guidance for assisting local authorities in monitoring contracts with adult care services. Age Concern England (ACE) comments on those aspects that relate to service users' experience. ACE concludes that more could be done to promote the concept of contract monitoring as part of a wider system ensuring that people receive safe, high quality services, and are protected from abuse.
