Annotation | Following publication of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) annual report 2006/07, the Minister with responsibility for social care, Ivan Lewis, asked the Commission to carry out a review on how well current national guidance on eligibility for social care is working. The guidance referred to is Fair Access to Care Services (FACS) which was introduced in 2002. Age Concern England (ACE) outlines its submission, which notes both the positive features and failings of the FACS guidance. (RH). |
