AnnotationComprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) is to be the new joint assessment framework for local services and will be a new form of local inspection from April 2009. It will be concerned with the outcomes delivered by councils working alone or in partnership with others in the public, private and third sectors. This consultation document invites comment (until 15 February 2008) on the development of CAA. A more detailed consultation paper is expected in summer 2008. (RH).
